Dr. David Kim received his dental degree (D.D.S.) from the
University of Maryland Dental School, and completed his periodontology training
and Doctor of Medical Science (D.M.Sc.) in oral biology from the Harvard School
of Dental Medicine. Currently, he is an assistant professor and an acting director
of postdoctoral periodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kim is a past
recipient of the Joseph L. Henry Award recognizing excellence in research and
clinical training from Harvard. In addition, he received Balint Orban Research
Award, Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics, and
Teaching Fellowship from the American Academy of Periodontology.
He has contributed and published extensively in peer-reviewed
journals and in textbooks on periodontal and implant therapies. He is a
diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and maintains a clinical
practice in Boston, Massachusetts.

Giuseppe Intini (Periodontist)

Dr.
Giuseppe Intini is an Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine, Infection, and
Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a Principal Faculty
member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
Born
in Italy, Dr. Intini earned a degree in dentistry in 1995 from the University
of L'Aquila in Italy. In 2000, he received a Master's degree in Oral Sciences
from the University at Buffalo (USA), and in 2007 he received a Ph.D. in Oral
Biology and a certificate in clinical Periodontology from the University at Buffalo
(USA). From 2007 to 2012 he has been a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard School of
Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.As a
clinician scientist he has clinical interest in bone augmentation procedures
and research interest in bone and cancer stem cell biology.During his
postdoctoral fellowship, his work and teaching have been recognized by the
Harvard School of Dental Medicine Dean's Scholar Award, the Young Investigator
Travel Award from the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, the
Teaching Fellowship from the American Academy of Periodontology, and the AAP
Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics.
In
2010, Dr. Intini was awarded a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award from the
NIH/NIDCR to study the distribution and activation of osteoprogenitor stem
cells in intramembranous bone.Dr. Intini is an associate editor of the Journal
of Translational Medicine and an ad hoc reviewer for scientific journals in the
fields of orthopaedics, bone biology, tissue engineering, and periodontology.

Liran Levin(Periodontist)

Dr.
Liran Levin received his DMD degree with distinction at the Goldschleger School
of Dental Medicine, Tel Aviv University and completed his Post Graduate
Periodontology Program at the Department of Periodontology, School of Graduate
Dentistry, Rambam Health Care Campus. He
also received his Periodontology Specialist Certificate from the European
Federation of Periodontology. He is an
Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine - Technion IIT, and a senior
physician at the Department of Periodontology, Rambam Health Care Campus,
Haifa, Israel.
Dr.
Liran Levin has published of more than 150 articles and book chapters in the
international professional literature and is involved in research mainly in
periodontology, dental implants and dental trauma. He has been lecturing
extensively both nationally and internationally in the fields of dental
implants and periodontal diseases.Dr. Levin serves as an Associate Editor of
the Quintessence International and as an Editorial Board Member and a
manuscript reviewer for some of the leading international professional Journals
in the fields of periodontology, dental implants, dental trauma and general
dentistry.

Ron Orr (Periodontist)

Dr.
Ronald Orr graduated from Northwestern University Dental School where he
completed
an Honors Periodontics Program. He received a Masters of Public
Health
from Harvard University where he was awarded the W.K. Kellogg
Foundation
Fellowship in Health Policy and management. He received his
post-doctoral
clinical certificate in Periodontology from the Harvard School
of
Dental Medicine. Dr. Orr has been in full-time private practice since
1986.
He has lectured both nationally and internationally on various aspects
of dental
implant surgical placement and since the early 1990's he has also
been a
private industry consultant for periodontal product development.
Dr. Alexander Schrott (Periodontist)

Dr.
Schrott graduated from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, School of Dental
Medicine, Germany, in 2003, where he received his Doctorate title (Dr. med.
dent.) with magna cum laude. In 2007 he completed his certificate in
Periodontology and obtained his Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) at the
Harvard School of Dental Medicine. As a recipient of the ITI (International
Team for Implantology) Scholarship in 2008, Dr. Schrott spent one year at the
Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion at the University of Geneva,
Switzerland. He also completed the
"Advanced Standing Program for Dental Educators" and received his
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He
currently is in private practice in Boston and serves as a clinical instructor
at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr.
Schrott is board-certified by both the American and the German Boards of
Periodontology. He also is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology
(ITI).
Dr.
Schrott has published several articles on implant-related topics in
peer-reviewed scientific journals and is a reviewer for the Journal of
Periodontology. His research on dental implants was awarded the Balint-Orban
Memorial Prize by the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Shigemi
Nagai(Prosthodontist)

Dr.
Nagai attended Iwate Medical University, School of Dental Medicine in Japan and
graduated in 1982. She spent additional
years at Iwate Medical University and received a Ph.D. degree in 1988 in Color
Science. During her sabbatical years, Dr. Nagai received an M.S.D. degree in
1995 in Biomaterials from The Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston
University in MA. Her primary interest
is in research, teaching and patient care.
Dr. Nagai has been instrumental in the development and use of a dental
spectrophotometer, as well as developing new fluorescence imaging system for
caries detection. Dr. Nagai has
published extensively in the area of Color Science for over 25 years. Currently she is an Executive Board Member of
SCAD (Society of Color and Appearance in Dentistry). She works as an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard
School of Dental Medicine in MA.
Dr.
Joseph Guarino (Prosthodontist)

Dr. Guarino
received his certificate in Prosthodontics from Tufts University School of
Dental Medicine. He completed the twenty
month surgical and Prosthodontics program at Misch International Institute. Dr. Guarino maintains a comprehensive care
practice in Boston , lectures nationally and internationally on osseous
restoration surgery, implant biomechanics and tissue engineering.
Dr.
John Chang (Prosthodontist)

Dr. Chang received his DMD degree from University of
Pennsylvania. He then obtained a certificate in prosthodontics as well as a
Master of Medical Science from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Then he
continued to obtain oral implantology certification from University of
Geneva. From 2005, he served as research
fellow and part time clinical instructor in department restorative dentistry
and biomaterials at Harvard.
He is a member of several organizations including:
American College of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, and
Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr.
Sang Lee (Prosthodonitst)

Dr. Sang Lee
received his BS degree from Bucknell University and DMD degree from University
of Pennsylvania in US. He received a Masters of Medical Science with
Certificate in Prosthodontics and in Oral Implantology at the Harvard School of
Dental Medicine. He is a board eligible prosthodontist. He is currently a faculty at Harvard,
dedicated to research, clinical care and teaching through didactic and clinical
classes. He is involved in research related to digital impression, computer
guided implant surgery, and implant rehabilitations. The special research
interests are the development/application of Digital Dental Technology from
treatment planning, implant placement to restoration.
